Understanding what's truly hiding within is an art. We "create" this reality that says "I am good, I am strong, I am happy, I am.... " and we strive and we strive to do good, be good and honest. We seek others who possess the qualities that we want. We fill our world with "things" to fill "holes" and try to make it all okay again.
Then one day we stop and we realize, something just isn't right. We have struggled and fought our entire "life" to get to a place where everything is upside down. HOW could THAT happen when we spent our entire time doing "good"? How could I be "this messed up?"
Then "reality" hits. We are lost. We have no idea what means what and we have too much pride and strength to ask. So, then something has to come along to knock pride out of our hands and strength out of our heart. We just can't seem to hold it together. WE don't cry! Wanna bet?
We not only cry, we cry over things that don't warrant crying. We have no idea why we are crying, but for some, it just never seems to stop. THAT is the Dark Night of the Soul and the mourning of the soul purging all that is existent within it's energy from every lifetime thus far. THAT has got to be allowed to go.... so we sleep and we bury our heads and we hide in the dark and we wait until it passes.... asking for something to please happen.... then....
One day we wake up. We open the blinds and we see a new beauty that we did not see before. Life, and everything is somehow brighter. We appreciate the birds and nature and we start to put the pieces back together of what is left. For pride is no longer and fear no longer owns us. We see it, but something is different. We value life and we FEEL for the very first time. Our hearts have purged and have opened up to a new way... one of letting go, forgiving and being free.
Now we start to build. We build from within. As it took being torn down to "nothing" to strip all those things we coveted before so that we could see our truth. The truth that we made it, that all is okay and that the dawn rose and now we start anew.
Hold fast that these days will also pass.... as there comes a day when we step into alignment in every moment and flow is created by letting go. We see the purpose, we see the tests and we see love.
KNOW that your soul will guide you and always give you what you need. Even if it feels like the bottom. As it takes the bottom to cause one to give up all that has created limits keeping them prisoner to their minds. In times of desperation, one will choose differently. In these times, one will choose that of compassion & gratitude and will do from within their heart. In the most desperate times, once finds humanity. They also find their soul.
