When one needs to believe that they were wronged in some way, that something was done to them, that they were the receiver of some "wrong-doing"... that someone is to blame for such things, then they remain victim to that other person or situation. Correct?
So if we go with that mentality, and we work to release ourselves by forgiving the perpetrator, the situation, etc... then how is it ok to continually "blame" the ego for everything? Is that not the same mentality, the same victim mode?
In the beginning I separated ego to "work" with it, to resolve duality, to forgive, to learn, to let go. I work to help others do the same. But now I hear continually how "that's the ego creating that problem", which technically is true, but that then requires releasing and forgiving, but even one more step... forgive the ego, as it is only there to try to protect us, to look out for us... so it would seem that forgiving our own ego & working to integrate it as a kind part of us is key. Otherwise are we not still a victim in an entirely new capacity?
